Proxité is an association dedicated to the success of young people and the strengthening of social ties that operates in the heart of priority neighbourhoods in eight regions of France. It develops relationships of trust and moments of sharing between young people and professionals within the framework of mentoring, with the belief that everyone's success depends on each person's ability to reach out to another and the creation of more gateways between school, studies and the working world.
The Societe Generale The Future Is You Foundation supports the association, which wants to significantly increase the number of young people it supports nationwide by drawing on its three mentoring programmes over the next three years and on the opening of the first Maison Proxité in 2022 in Nanterre: a real community space, open to the neighbourhood, with a permanent team in place. These Maisons Proxité will allow mentoring pairs to meet and young people to work in a supportive environment.
