PE&D has defined 5 lines of action that represent efficient levers to help children: Early childhood development (0 to 6 years old), family support, protection of children and women against violence, health of mothers and young children and socio-professional insertion. These projects allow people, especially young people, from vulnerable families to benefit from personalised support to work towards an adapted professional goal, gain access to adapted professional training and a stable and paid job.
The Societe Generale The Future is You Foundation supports the charity's initiatives in Burkina Faso, where it has been active since 2004, and has invested in the quantitative development of the educational offering, as well as in the ongoing training of teaching teams (via the creation of a training programme, a methodology guide and the Preschool Toolbox). This new development phase is based on three pillars:
- Empowering the 27 early-learning and preschool education centres by training directors and inspectors and increasing access to teaching tools such as the imagier created by ASMAE and the preschool toolbox (online resource platform);
- Initiating action research into gender-neutral tools at the preschool level (inventory and analysis in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, leading to an overhaul of the tools);
- Integrating the theme of health by introducing innovative activities involving hygiene and sport in partnership with Terres En Mêlées.
