Founded in 2011 by Sarah Ourahmoune, Boxer Inside Club operates in the heart of the priority neighbourhoods of Aulnay sous-bois and Paris 13. Boxer Inside Club is a structure that acts for the public good in the service of health and integration, by encouraging the practice of sport for everyone and in all regions.
The Societe Generale The Future is You Foundation supports 200 young girls and boys aged 10 to 17 (as of autumn 2023) through the Boxer Inside Academy, a next-generation boxing school whose aim is to create pathways to success for each young person. Sport is a key factor in well-being and a way of getting young people back in school. This project is based on three core tenets:
- Education through sport: young people benefit from three boxing sessions a week, more intensive programmes during the school holidays and learning expeditions abroad in the summer.
- Professional independence: this charity offers socio-educational support and training in boxing careers. From the age of 10, young people can be trained as assistant coaches, competition organisers or referees.
- Civic engagement: through solidarity projects and a five-module “Change makers” training programme, young people are prepared to take action in schools on a variety of social issues (gender equality, bullying, racism and anti-Semitism, etc.).
