La Belle Saison

Created in 2013 at the initiative of the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris, La Belle Saison is a programming and production label dedicated to the chamber‑music repertoire. Responsible for the classical‑music programming of the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, it creates and produces each year an artistic season within a network of 15 partner theatres, festivals, and concert halls which, thanks to their acoustic quality, appropriate capacity, or the cultural richness of their regions, offer audiences a memorable live‑concert experience. Among them are La Chapelle du Méjan in Arles, Le Trident—Scène Nationale in Cherbourg, the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo, and the Vichy Opera House.

The ten or so original projects supported each year explore every facet of chamber music, from the Baroque repertoire to contemporary creation. They are carried by around sixty artists selected for each edition, who can thus perform a single programme in multiple venues across the network. Both rising talents and internationally renowned soloists travel throughout the regions to meet audiences through residencies, outreach activities, and musical practice workshops.

After supporting the musical season of the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris, the Société Générale Corporate Foundation has accompanied La Belle Saison since its creation, thereby contributing to the dissemination of chamber music—particularly outside major urban centres.
