RURA

RURA

Rura works to bridge the territorial divide by investing in the youth of rural areas and small towns. Every day, the association informs, supports, and promotes the ten million young people growing up in these territories, ensuring they have the same opportunities to achieve their academic, professional, and civic potential as those in major metropolitan areas. At the same time, it engages in advocacy and influence efforts to improve understanding, representation, and consideration of rural youth and their challenges.

The Société Générale Corporate Foundation supports its project aimed at guiding rural youth toward successful professional integration. The initiative is structured around two complementary pillars:

  • Acting upstream of professional integration through the mentoring of beneficiaries. This holistic support, lasting one year and renewable, enables participants each year to acquire the tools necessary for career orientation and integration aligned with their potential;

  • Acting at the moment of professional integration for the Rura Alumni community, which will include 6,200 Rura students by June 2027—former beneficiaries from post-secondary levels (Bac+1 to Bac+5)—supporting their first steps into professional life through educational tools, scholarships, networking opportunities, mentorship, events, and community gatherings.
