Concerts à la Ferme
Concerts à la Ferme (Concerts on the Farm) is a cultural initiative aimed at energising the artistic offer in rural areas of France by fostering exchanges between the agricultural world, rural residents, artists, and cultural institutions. By using classical, operatic, and jazz music as a vehicle for dialogue, the project helps strengthen social ties and highlight the unique characteristics of the regions involved.
The initiative is based on organising concerts within partner farms that reflect the diversity of France’s agricultural production. These events are part of a broader cultural engagement programme, including opportunities for discussion with farmers, mediation activities designed to raise audience awareness, and convivial moments that encourage connection among local stakeholders.
Launched in 2023 in the Hauts‑de‑France region, the project was first implemented in the Aisne and Oise departments, where it received an enthusiastic welcome. With a view to expanding its scope, Concerts à la Ferme has, since 2025, extended its reach to other French regions, in order to increase its cultural and social impact across rural territories. This community‑oriented musical season is led by the association Tous mes rêves chantent, which ensures coordination and overall management of the project, under the joint artistic direction of Hélène Paillette and Arnaud Thorette, guaranteeing a programme tailored to local contexts.
Through this approach, Concerts à la Ferme actively contributes to the promotion of rural France by offering an innovative, inclusive cultural programme rooted in local realities, while promoting live music as a driver of social cohesion and cultural development.
The Société Générale Corporate Foundation has been a partner of Concerts à la Ferme since 2025, supporting the expansion of the project across the whole of France.
