The charity A.I.M.E. manages two main activities via two sites in the Ardèche department to promote the professional integration of people facing hardship and/or unemployed in rural areas, and particularly those with refugee status:
- A training organisation offering certification courses in cooking, refresher courses in French, French as a foreign language, mathematics, IT, career planning, corporate immersion, etc.;
- “La Gariguette”, a job placement restaurant with nine employees returning to work.
The Societe Generale The Future is You Foundation supports two initiatives aimed at young unemployed people (ages 16-29) with mobility problems or a lack of professional networks:
- the “Prépa apprentissage” initiative (three months' training and three months' support): refresher modules combined with building a professional and/or educational plan and follow-up by a coach to remove obstacles to integration;
- the “Insérer pour former” initiative (an average of six months' support, followed by three months' follow-up in employment), rolled out in 2018: this is based on supply and demand matching, which consists of matching the public with the needs of companies, moving away from traditional recruitment methods (no CV), with workplace simulations and support when hired.
