The FERT association supports the creation of farming organisations by assisting farmers and training them in 11 countries.
The Societe Generale Corporate Foundation is supporting the actions of FERT in Madagascar where it is working with a federation of five agricultural schools (Fekama). These actions are part of a three-year 2020-2022 project co-funded by the French Development Agency, and aim to contribute to the emergence of a new generation of professional farmers, who will play an active part in transforming family farming and developing rural areas. More specifically, the project will support the development of four regional agricultural colleges by educating classes of around 25 students aged 14 to 18 over a three-year curriculum.
