Twenty thousand square metres dedicated to music. Since opening in January 2015, the Philharmonie de Paris has been offering all audiences the opportunity to learn about classical music, deepen their knowledge and attend prestigious concerts.
Designed by the architect Jean Nouvel, this large complex located in the Parc de La Villette includes four concert halls with a total capacity ranging from 3,500 to 5,600 spectators, as well as conference rooms, educational areas and an exhibition hall. Some 500 concerts are staged every season.
A showcase for French musical excellence, the Philharmonie de Paris is also one of the most welcoming international institutions for orchestras from around the world. Since its first season, the Philharmonie de Paris has welcomed the most prestigious ensembles: the Berlin, New York and Munich Philharmonic Orchestras, the London Symphony Orchestra, the orchestras of the Leipzig Gewandhaus, the Russian Bolshoi Theatre, the Mariinsky and the Bayreuth Festival, among others. And with them, some of the most fascinating conductors and soloists of our time.
