The Grand Bleu association has a cradle-to-job approach, supporting and monitoring young people over many years via education through sport (swimming workshops and water sports practice sessions) and their professional integration through training in water-related professions.
The Societe Generale The Future is You Foundation supports training and personalised support for young people facing hardship in Marseilles. The aim is to help these young people – the majority of whom have dropped out of school – get back on the right track, learn a career that provides opportunities, and find their first job. This charity became a government-accredited training organisation in October 2022. The programme starts with an interview and a test to assess each young person's situation so that they can be guided towards the most suitable of the three training courses on offer:
- Lifeguard, 35 hours of training
- Lifeguard (BNSSA), four months of training
- Lifeguard (BJEPS AAN), nine months of training between the classroom and practical exercises
