Our partnership with Quatuor Debussy has a long history. When they were students at Lyon’s Conservatoire National Supérieur, its four members received our support. Their New Talent Incubator project is also in line with our values: helping young musicians to take their first steps in professional life.
For over thirty years, Quatuor Debussy has combined the art of the string quartet with other arts: hip-hop dance, French chanson, circus, shadow theatre, etc. It then decided to pass on this exceptional know-how via the New Talent Incubator. It is aimed at young quartets emerging from conservatories. Quatuor Debussy trains them in developing and producing innovative programmes, as well as in mediation, over six or seven meetings per year, over two years. In a third year, the young quartet then benefits from the advice and support of Quatuor Debussy's artistic and administrative team.
The New Talent Incubator allows young quartets to perform for a wide variety of audiences, in recitals, workshop concerts and music festivals.
